Blog Post Title Four

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

Alika Kumar

Born in Roorkie, India, Alika Kumar has been a resident of Glendale, Arizona since 1980. Alika is an emerging artist whose lifelong passion has been to “gather world colors.” This is revealed in a variety of art that encompasses works in watercolor pencils on paper, acrylics on canvas, digital art, photography, and most recently in sculpture. Themes of her art include flowers, landscapes, urban reflections and international cultural scenes. This love and passion for art began with her artist parents and was shared by her siblings as well. Alika earned two Masters degrees in Business Administration from Thunderbird, the Global School of International Management, Glendale, AZ; and, from the Arizona State University. She has been serving as the Director of the Phoenix MBDA Business Center since 2006, but squeezes all the time that she can to pursue her love of creativity. Four of Alika’s paintings from the series “Urban Reflections” are in the permanent collection and on display at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix. Alika is forever grateful to many artists and teachers who contribute to her “self-taught” skills. Recently, Alika has delved into sculpture with notable sculptors such Jerry Cox  and Vala Ola at the Scottsdale Artists School; and Jodi Creager (online). Alika has had solo exhibitions of her work at the Northern Arizona University's College of Arts & Letters; Discover India Festival; and, the Mesa Performing Arts Center. Her work has also been included in group exhibitions at the Broadway Gallery, New York; APS Art Gallery; Arizona State University; Shemer Art Gallery; and, at the Art Link’s Art Detour. Her works are in private collections in the U.S., France, Switzerland, and in India.
