A World in Color,
Connected by Awe

Luminous, color rich paintings exploring the connection among nature, humanity, place, memories, the visible world and the spiritual world.

My paintings begin with the visible world, which may be a bird, a forest, a city reflection, a remembered place, or a human figure, but they often lead toward something deeper. Through color, light, texture, and symbolism, I explore our relationship with nature, culture, memory, and the larger universe.

Although my subjects vary, each painting grows from the same belief: that life is interconnected, filled with presence, and worthy of awe and wonder.

My paintings move through several subjects, yet they are connected by recurring ideas of beauty, belonging, transformation and interdependence. These four collections offer different entrances into the same larger artistic world.

Where the Seen Meets the Infinite - This Space and Time

“This Space and Time” captures a moment of stillness in which human life, wildlife, water, earth, and the cosmos become part of one continuous experience.

The painting represents my belief that we are not separate observers of the natural world, but participants deeply connected in its rhythms, mysteries, through an invisible and undeniable dependency.

The Infinite Within - I Am Infinity

Suspended within the vastness of an unfolding universe, a solitary figure appears small in scale yet radiant with inner presence.

I Am Infinity reflects my belief that while each of us may seem like only a speck within an immeasurable cosmos, we are never separate from it. The same energy that moves through stars, planets, and galaxies exists within us.

When we recognize the unity connecting all life and creation, we begin to discover the quiet power, possibility, and infinity within ourselves.

Meet Alika Kumar

I am a contemporary visual artist inspired by travel, nature, culture, music, and the shared human experience. My international background and years of observing people and places has shaped a practice rooted in color, curiousity, and connection. I work primarily in acrylic, allowing recognizable imagery and expressive abstraction to meet within the same painting.
